IN washing powder making projects (EPC projects), the most important, and the most immanent step that is always being started with, is the design scheme stage, which is so crucial that the nature of the whole project, and its success is heavily reliant on it. In order to achieve such great success, having the design executed as perfectly as possible is significant, and must be carried out after thoroughly considered and investigated. Meanwhile, Designers should have extensive operational experience in the industry.
The design work requires detailed efforts, and is highly customizable, which means every design differs from project to project. Even if the capacity requirements are the same across multiple projects, 10T/H for instance, the production process design may vary due to different factors such as geography, packaging form, Automation level, fuel type, etc.
We have concluded a few factors that have an impact on the design that could make a difference in the whole production process as well as the client’s investing cost:
1. Capacity
The concept of “capacity” runs through the entire production process design. Not only it declares the finished powder capacity, reflecting how much powder per hour or per year a client wish to produce, it sets the standard/capacity of multiple equipment or instruments that will be used within the production process that is going to be designed. Such as a higher-capacity production line requires pumps with higher conveying capacity and tanks with a larger volumes.
2. Formula
Different formulas may reflect various feeding volumes and different feeding sequences in the pre-blending stage and post-blending stage, which is something needs to be paid attention to during the design stage.
3. Requirements for exhaust and air emissions
Despite we normally design it according to Chinese standards, but when specific requirements are raised by the client, it also can be modified in the design by adjusting the parameters or specifications of bag filter or dust removal system.
In the first part of the article, 3 factors have been listed and illustrated as the fundamental characteristics a designer shall consider during the design phase. The rest 3 will be presented in the second part of this article, please keep an eye on it and wait for our updates.
